new nest :: saltbox sneak peek 4
i'm sorry to be so late with my peek today--i had planned ahead a few days to get me through the busy weekend, but didn't have one ready this morning. so splitcoast technique lover's challenge to the rescue and here's one that features that cute little nest and "new nest" sentiment plus stacked ribbon for the challenge! the nest is from the tweets set--it's great paired with a bird or resting on the branch too! for this card, i stamped it once on the blue card layer and again on white, so i could color, cut, and layer the eggs. it's easy to cover the blue enough with brown copics, but i wanted the eggs to be mostly white, without the hint of blue showing through. the sentiment is from tweets companion--perfect for a house warming gift to a new neighbor or newlywed friends! both stamps will be available from the saltbox studio on thursday--just a few more days!!!

p.s. about the busy weekend, it was full of birthday parties, including mignon's--stay tuned for some cute invitations and cakes when i have the chance to edit the photos!

What a great way to use some of that wide ribbon. Pretty!
